Back in January my two best friends and I started planning our high school classed 10 year reunion. It took a ton of calls and allot of research but we finally decided that we would have a Meet & Greet on Friday evening, a family picnic Saturday afternoon, and a main adult only event Saturday evening.

We picked a local bar for Friday evening and I was told by those that attended that it was nice. The picnic was at the YMCA park just outside of Groveport and it had a nice playground with a fort for the kids to play in. The main event was at the Elks Lodge in Grove City. We choose it because the price was low, they had a cheap cash bar, and they allowed outside caterers without an extra charge. Since our class didn't have any money left in our account from high school everything had to be paid for with ticket sales. To help keep the cost of the tickets down we went with Heavy Horederves instead of a full meal. We were also lucky enough to have my friend Jenn's husband DJ for free. I actually think it helped that he was DJ'ing because that gave Dave and Shanna's husband Scott something to do as well. Instead of our husbands just sitting and talking they got to pick the music and talk on the mic.

It seemed like everyone had a good time and they were grateful to us for planning the event which was nice for us to hear since we worked really hard to do it. Even if they didn't have fun Shanna, Jenn, and I did and I think that's all that matters.

In honor of the Groveport Madison Class of 1999 I will leave you with our class poem.

Party Hearty
Rock & Roll
Drink a Keg Smoke a bowl
We kick ass
Sex is fine
We're the class of 99

Now there's a fine motto! Glad you had a good time at the reunion events. Makes me want to catch my 15th in two years... sort of. :) Tif
