This week I have been thinking allot about Christmas and finalizing who is getting what. My picture today is what my brothers and sister got our mom last year for Christmas.
As a mother a picture of all your kids and grand kids is the perfect gift. This is the exact picture we got her in the 16x20 wall portrait size and we had it framed. The large picture is of everyone. In the top row left to right is my sister Steph, Me holding Ian, and my SIL Alicia. Bottom row left to right is y brother Nick, Dave with Emma, and my baby brother KJ. The small picture top right is just of us kids, and of course the bottom right picture is my kids, her grand kids.
I must say that those pictures were the most stressful I have ever been a part of because there were so many people to get to smile and look right. We had Ian who up until recently wanted no part of having his picture taken, my brother KJ who has never taken a good picture in his life and just likes to goof off. Add to that Dave and Nick who prefer not to smile therefore looking pissed off the whole time. the savior of the whole thing was Miss Emma who is a natural just like her Mama! I am very glad we did it though because my mom absolutely loves it!

What a fantastic gift! I think that's what we are doing for my parents this year, if we can get a photographer willing for photograph 35 of my siblings and their children together. LOL

Having been a photographer for over 20 years and a mom for 16, there is nothing more appreciated that a portrait of the kids. Doesn't even matter who is or is not smiling. Just having the memory to share is what counts. Thanks for sharing.
