Let me start by saying that if your a Buckeye hater you will want to stay away this week because my post will be all about my Bucks. I am not in the mood for mean spirited haters.
Now having said that, if your not a Buckeye fan but not a hater either, or you don't know much about football then you might not know that this Saturday the best Rivalry in College Football (an ESPN poll even stats this)will take place. That rivalry is The Ohio State University Buckeyes vs. The Michigan Wolverines, or as us Buckeyes like to say "that team up north" (thanks Woody). In honor of Beat Michigan week I have decided to write some post about this rivalry starting with tonight's of some basic history.
The very first game was in 1897 and "that team up North" won it 34-0. They also won all of the games between then and 1919. In 1919 things changed and the Buckeyes won 13-3. Those of us today think one of the traditions surrounding this game is that it is the last game of the season but this wasn't the case until 1935. Since it has become the last game of the season it has many times been the determining factor in who wins the Big Ten title and represents the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl. In recent years it has been the determining factor for not only who goes to the Rose Bowl but who goes to the BCS National Championship game.
The week leading up to the big game has allot of events that take place and tomorrow I will tell you all about them. Until then I leave you with this;
That was TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band In The Land) performing Script Ohio for the OSU vs UM game on November 18 2006. That game was one of the best in the entire rivalry and it sent us to the National Championship instead of "that team up North"

Well even though my family will be rooting for Michigan, I don't think you will have any trouble this year. Michigan is not looking to swell! :)
I do not think they have a chance with RichRod at the helm. He is a piece of work.
