Mr. Wilson

This past week I have posted two pictures of Mr. Wilson not realizing that in both of them he was down on all fours. Of course Mrs. Stuckmann did notice and she left this comment for me.

Dear Mr. Wilson,

It is very kind of you to allow Mrs. Wilson to post pictures of you. As one of her countless readers, I would appreciate seeing a picture of you in an upright position rather than the repeated position of being down on all fours. Unless being on all fours is the "buckeye" way, then "way to go, Dave."

So first off Carrie, I don't think Dave knows that I posted pictures of him. Since you asked I figured I would make you happy and this post is all about Dave with pictures and all.

The first picture is my favorite baby picture of Dave. He was three in this one and I just want to pinch his fat little cheeks. Also can you see the similarities between him and Ian? It kills me how much the two of them look alike.

Next up is one of Dave's senior pictures in his Law Enforcement uniform. Dave and I started dating during his junior year of high school and his first year at the career center in the Law Enforcement program. We were both in band and it was first period at the high school so he would come to band and leave straight from there to his school and he had to wear his uniform. Man did he look good in that uniform!!

Now I do not want to hear any of those "and this one time at band camp" comments because the next picture is from Dave's senior Band Formal. Yes our band had a Band Formal every spring for the members of band and their dates. I would actually have to say it was nicer than the proms at our school. We rented a ball room, we had it catered, DJ'd, and we had professional pictures. This picture is my favorite of all the formal pictures we had done and the dress I am wearing was my all time favorite formal dress.

Moving on; In the fall of 2001 Dave and I took an all expense trip to an all inclusive resort in the Bahamas. During our trip we took a tour of the city and one of the stops was at a Botanical Garden. In the garden they had a lady with a bunch of exotic birds and you could hold them. The one on top of Dave's head was a female that fell madly in love with Dave and if I tried to touch him she would peck at me. I can't say I blame her, he is one amazing man. :)

On to Dave at our wedding. I did include this picture in my second blog entry ever. It is my favorite wedding picture of the two of us. It was taken in the gardens at our reception site and it was the last one taken of Dave where he didn't have an annoyed look on his face. As I mentioned before Dave hates to have his picture taken and we had a million taken for our wedding. He was also annoyed with how the rest of the bridal party was in the reception hall drinking and he was stuck outside taking more pictures.

This picture was taken the day Emma was born. I know you can't really see his face but I LOVE this one of him with her. Even though you can't see his face you can still see how proud he is and how much he all ready loves his little pumpkin. Every time I see this one I want to cry.

This next picture is in the OR right after they took Ian out of me. Yes I had a c-section with him because I had one with Emma and my Doctor does not do VBAC's (not that I wanted one). It might be hard to tell because of the angle of this one but look closely at Dave's eyes and you can see how excited he was to meet his son. You also can't tell from this picture but Dave had been up for over 24 hours at this point. Ian was about 3 1/2 weeks early so we were not expecting to have him yet. Because of that Dave stayed up the entire night before playing computer games and we ended up leaving for the hospital around 8 in the morning. Since I was in labor all day and they were monitoring me very closely there were constantly people in and out of our room. Let's just say it was one long day. Oh and no comments on how I look, this is all about Mr. Wilson.

Alright folks this is the last picture. This was taken last week while Dave was doing some yard work. Yes he has sunglasses on but it's the most recent picture I have of him not down on all fours.

So there you have Mr. Wilson in all his glory. I hope you have enjoyed my walk down memory lane and Carrie are these pictures better?

Well written, Mrs. Wilson.

As soon as you started writing about Mr. Wilson, your writing got all soft and lovey dovey and I can understand why. The pictures you chose have such intimate stories behind them, I felt like a sneaky intruder (like when you are babysitting and you look at their photo albums and you aren't sure if you should but they are right there on the coffee table so why not?).

I am glad you wrote this post, this is my favorite one of yours so far.

You know, I am really glad we bumped into each other all those years ago (well, maybe just weeks ago) but it is really fun getting to know you and your peeps. Even your pork-force-feeding mother seems like a friend ;)

Sounds like a great man no matter if he is on all 4's or standing up.
