I have another great Real Women of Genius story for all of you. I don't want my friend to be exposed here so I will not be using her name. When she told me the story I am about to tell you I died of laughter.
Alright, so this friend of mine has a house she rents out. Apparently last night, or over the weekend her renters drove up to her house to pay her this months rent. So they hand her the money and she counts it, like most people would do. Then she hands her tenants $100.00 back and tells them they paid to much. Of course they didn't question her giving them money back and they went on their merry way!
Well a little while later my friend realizes that they had given her the right amount the first time and she got it confused with what her mortgage really is. See she charges them $100.00 more than what her mortgage cost her. So then she had to call them and explain that she was wrong and that $100.00 she gave them back she needed.
Could you imagine? I would have been so embarassed, but since it happened to her and not me I think it's hysterical!

Oh my gosh! That's so embarrassing. I'm not sure I could have the guts to call and ask for the $100 back but I guess if its needed. That's a good one! Yikes, lesson to always count twice is not lost on me. ;)
