Earlier this week I had a plan for what today's post would say and what kind of picture would be featured. That plan will not work, see Emma had her first Gymnastics's class on Wednesday and I was going to talk about that and share a picture of her during class. Well, there was a big sign in the sitting area at the gym that said No Flash Photography and my camera is fairly new which means I didn't know how to turn the auto flash off and spent most of the class trying to figure that out with no success.
So Wednesday night I started thinking about what the heck I was going to do for my picture. I tossed around the idea of a few things but I wasn't loving anything. Then it happened, my kids did something that I just have to share with you.
This is the floor in Emma's room between her bookshelf and bed. When I put her to bed Wednesday night the only thing on her floor there was her Little Mermaid Polly Pocket play set and a few of the Polly Pocket dolls. When I went to get her up Thursday morning this is what was there. I know that this mess was not made while Dave and I were still up because we would have heard it. What makes this even better is that Dave and I did not go to bed Wednesday night until almost 12:30 because we stayed up to watch the Sarah Palin speech and some of the reactions after. So this means that sometime between 1:00 am and 5:45am Thursday morning one or both of my kids woke and decided to make a complete mess! Of course neither of them will fess up or even blame the other so I honestly have no clue who it was which is why they both had to clean it up, but not before I got a picture of course.
Do you have a picture like this that you want to share? Do you have a picture of any kind you want to share? Well then you need to head straight over to Candid Carrie's and join the phun, phun, phun!

your people are busy!! that is too funny, I wonder what happened.
I am dying with laughter for TWO reasons, first, that is a funny pic of course! and second... my eyes when directly to the Shrek the Third DVD. Hee hee, because Hannah is standing RIGHT next to me trying to DESTROY our copy of it. SO, in your picture at least your Shrek DVD is intact within Emma's lovely collection. I dont have much of a point, but I love your picture and I am going to try and find a pile like yours in my house, there is one, I promise.
Love it! My boys room always looks like this. They are dumpers. Why Bother?
oh my goodness!! it looks like my boys room!! they must be sharing secrets!
LOL! Good to know we all have enormous messes. That's what our playroom looks like about 2.3 minutes after cleaning it up.
Odd... that could be Noah's room right now. And this morning there wasn't a thing on the floor. Hmm...
Yikes!! My head would have exploded! My youngest has early morning play sessions but she usually keeps it contained to stuff animals. I hope you made them clean it up!!
Isn't that what kid's rooms always look like? If they are supposed to be clean, you may need to send a memo to my boys. I break things by just stepping on their floors. YIKES!
I wonder if someone did it their sleep and that's why they can't remember! My son sleepwalks and we find him in the middle of the living room trying to play!
My oldests room looked that a few months ago. LOL There are still some days that him and his brother will go in there and pull EVERYTHING OUT.
Happy fx4
Shit-She was busy
My home as a kid! Too funny. I want to send this to my mother to make her quit her bitchin about how slobby I was as a kid.
Coming in from Candid Carrie!! When did you sneak in and take a pic of my kids room?? TFS. :)
Wow, that is quite the mess. You should turn it into an Eye-Spy game.
Oh My!!! What 2 little night owls you have...at least they're going after educational material!!
It's incredible how fast and efficient my kids are at making messes like that! Luckily I have a boy and a girl so it tells me who the mess was by what toys are out! Awesome picture!
I walked in on a similar scene years ago (before DVDs, etc.) and said, "how did this happen?" and the four year old said, "wind damage." I swear, true story.
Gosh that looks familiar! My kids make the same kinds of messes... at the same odd hours!
