Friday's Foto Finish Fiesta

This week I thought it would be appropriate to post a picture that in some way went along with the story I am in the middle of telling. I decided that I should share a few pictures of my dad with you. If you haven't read the story I am sharing check it out, here is Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. I will return tomorrow with Chapter 3.

This first picture is of my dad and me during the summer of 1985. Look at all those curls I had, wasn't I the cutest four year old ever!

This one of my dad was taken Christmas Day 1985. It was his last Christmas alive. My mom wanted to have a really big live tree that year and the one they picked has pine cones on it. Shortly after they brought it home I became very sick and it took the doctors forever to figure out what was wrong with me. I am allergic to pine trees so I spent that Christmas laying on the couch. The only thing I did was get up once to make my dad and Uncle Ed some coffee with the kitchen set Santa brought me.

If you have a picture, or two, or three you want to share head on over to Candid Carries and join us. It's really fun!

These are great photos. And I love the pinecones in the tree...not loving you getting sick on Christmas, though.

I love the pics! Your daughter is sooo cute and she does look just like you at that age! That is so surreal to me when kids look exactly like their parents. I guess because I have boys so I would feel bad if they looked just like me. ;) Oh and I have a friend who is allergic to pine trees too, they always had the nicest fake tree because of it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Loved your pics and now I must read the first couple of chapters to your story! I lost both of my parents when I was young, my dad when I was 4 and my mom when I was 7. Who would have thought you could be allerigic to pine trees! Too crazy!
