Taking A Break

I am taking a break today from my story to fill you in on the happenings at The Wilson's House this past week. If you haven't read my story click here, here and here.

My vacation ended Sunday so it was back to work Monday morning. I knew that I was going to have a ton to catch up on from being off but I was surprised to walk in and find that not a single thing of mine had been done. Our system which is always breaking decided to completely blow up leaving our section so far backed up that I can't begin to explain it. Of course throughout the week as they would fix one thing something else would break. Our section had a meeting with the Chief to voice our concerns because even before the system issues we were backed up. See in the last 5 years our office has added a whole new section to collect money for bringing in over 200 clients for just that section, then they have hired 1-4 collectors to each of the 8 other staffs, as well as adding 4 satellite offices each with 4-8 collectors but not a single person has been added to Bookkeeping to help keep up with the increased amount of money coming in. One of my co-workers made the comment to our chef that "we couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel" and our chief said to us "you don't want to see that light at the end of the tunnel because that light is the unemployment line". Yeah we all feel great. So needless to say I'm stressed out.

I'm pretty sure the kids have picked up on that stress because they were pure rotten this week unless Dave was around. I tired very hard not to bite their heads off but man I swear all they did was fight with each other. I snappd a few pictures of the kids during one of their fights.

I think she has perfected the eveil eye

Anyone notice the bruies smack dab in the middle of his head. Head meet concrete driveway! I'm not sure where the scratch on his check came from.

Now onto some good news. Dave bought a new car Tuesday. It's a 2005 Ford Explorer that was a steal. I must say that it's very nice that he works for a car dealership. I am so jealous of him though. I have always liked my car but after Ian was born it became a little cramped. My 12 year old brother can't even fit between the car seats in the back seat so for a few years now I have been saying the next car I get has to be a bigger SUV. What does Dave go and buy? A bigger SUV. I can fit in between the car seats in the back. I really shouldn't complain to much though because he was driving his 1993 Ford Ranger so he really did deserve a new car and now we have two that can't transport kids. Here's a picture of the new car.

Ok I think that's about it for now, the kids are upstairs playing together without fighting so hopefully that means this week will be better than last. I'll let you know.

Oooooh, pretty vehicle.

Isn't it terrible when the kids can sense you aren't in synch and they act out even more? That has got to be the worst thing ever!

Unless you add your period and diahrea to the mix. Then you might has well just call it quits.

I love that Emma's hair looks exactly like yours. In that picture she's your twin (minus the gloomy expression).

Glad your long week is over, and hope that things lighten up at work soon!

Ouch! That was a real nice thing for the boss man to say. Where's the love?! I'm glad the bad week is over and I hope the new one is better. It has to be right? Love the new SUV. I would be jealous too!!

It sound like the Chief is a bit burned out and perhaps he should make his own way to the unemployment line! Nice support system for you guys.
Love the pictures of the kids during the fight (even though you were probably pulling your hair out at the time!!)

I'm a bookkeeper, and it is hell when you fall behind. My kids totally pick up on my stress too!
