With the upcoming wedding of Emma's Uncle Nicky (my brother) Emma has learned (kind of) The Wedding Song. Like most people though she only knows the first two lines.
Here comes the bride
All dressed in white
So last night after the hundredth time she sang those two lines she asked me to teach her the rest of the song. Problem is I only know those two lines, so I had to tell her sorry I don't know it. I thought this would bring on a fit but too my surprise she said OK I'll just make them up then.
That's a great idea Emma!
So after many different versions and trials she finally came up with this;
Here comes mommy
All dressed in blue
With diamonds too
I like the sound of that, now go tell your daddy!!

Little blue dress with sparkly diamonds... nice! :)
Here comes the bride
All dressed in white
Open the windows
Cause she'll stink all night
Sorry, I've got boys.
Oh Carrie thats hysterical!
Yeah, I've got a million of them!
There was a book that I read as a child (I can't, for the life of me remember what it was but I think it was a Judy Blume book.) but it went:
Here comes the bride,
fair, fat and wide,
Here comes the groom,
Skinny as a broom,
Here comes the usher,
the old toilet flusher...
: )
